Methodology
Kiraworth shows what an exact Japanese card printing has sold for, what sellers ask now, and what it could cost to land in the United States. A range is not a guarantee, an appraisal, or a live quote.
Identity
The English name is not the key. A printing is the set code, the rarity, the finish, and the artwork note together. Color and monochrome, Secret and Ultra, alternate art, and a promo stay on separate pages. Search returns those rows separately. Condition is a band you select so the Japanese grade is visible. The yen is not multiplied for that band.
What counts as a sale
An itemized sold price is a row whose role is sold and whose yen is one number. The typical price is the median of those numbers. With an even count, the median is the average of the two middle numbers, rounded to the nearest yen. Low and high are the smallest and largest of those same numbers.
A sold row that is a range, such as a Yahoo cluster written as ¥13,500–¥15,000, stays in the evidence table and stays out of the median. A working range, an opening video, a flea-market comp, and a shop-buy (買取) figure are not sales. A shop ask, including a Card Rush or Yuyutei retail ask, is shown beside the sold range and is not blended into it.
If there is no itemized sold price, the page says “Not enough matched sales to estimate.” Current asks remain as context, with Low confidence. No trend line is drawn.
Confidence and freshness
Confidence is High only when eight or more itemized sales are on the page, they come from at least two sources, every one has a listing URL, a condition word is on every row, and none of the rows is stale. Medium needs at least three itemized sales, two sources, one listing URL, and the same freshness. Everything else that still has a median is Low. Missing sales are Low as well.
- Current: the newest itemized sale was verified within 7 days, and the row is not marked “not yet re-verified.”
- Aging: older than 7 days and within 30 days, without that mark.
- Stale: older than 30 days, or marked not yet re-verified.
- Insufficient: no itemized sale.
The September 2026 sold rows on the Yu-Gi-Oh pages are still marked not yet re-verified, so those ranges stay Low confidence. Pokémon Storm Emerada pages have shop asks and no copied raw sale, so they use the insufficient state. One Piece OP-17 is a scaffold: the printing and the shop ask are shown, and it is not a valuation.
Exchange rate
Yen is the source currency. Dollars on a card page divide that yen by the reference rate of ¥158.12 per $1, checked 2026-10-13. That is not the rate on the day of the sale, and a later check does not rewrite the yen. A provider rate belongs in the calculator only when you paste it.
Landed estimate
The landed line uses the typical itemized sale when one exists, and the retail ask when it does not. The default assumptions are Buyee, Mercari, the Lite plan, domestic shipping ¥0, EMS up to 500 g, US general duty at the stored 0% rate, and extra duty at 0%. Each of those can be edited in the calculator. The shipment section is a beta from six of our own parcels. It is Low confidence until 20–30 itemized shipments exist, and it is not a benchmark.
Sources and images
Sold comps are meant to come from Yahoo Auctions closed results (落札相場) and Mercari’s sold filter, with aucfan only as a cross-check. Rows already on the Yu-Gi-Oh pages keep the source that was written down, including a sheet row that has no listing URL. New rows need a date, a yen figure, and a URL. The site does not scrape a marketplace as part of this page, and it does not hotlink Konami images. YAC1 and Storm Emerada pages use a text placeholder. YGOPRODeck portraits on the search-terms page are saved copies of that card name, not the Original Artwork Collection printing. One Piece pictures are a community prototype, and that project’s license does not cover the art.
