These totals come from the fee rules in the calculator, checked 2026-10-13. The marketplace you pick changes the fee. International postage below is either left at ¥0 or labeled as Japan Post, not a proxy invoice.
Mercari cards and small collectibles
Neokyo’s fees page is ¥350 per distinct item, and several copies of that same item are charged once. Packing is ¥500 up to 2 kg, so on one card the packing line is larger than the gap between ¥350 and Buyee’s ¥500.
Buyee’s usage fees are ¥500 per order, including more than one Mercari purchase in that charge. FromJapan’s introduction is ¥500 per item, with optimal packaging included. ZenMarket’s Mercari line is ¥800 per item, then a deposit fee. DEJAPAN’s fees page is ¥300 per Item URL plus ¥500 Mercari handling, and a transaction percentage that appears at checkout.
JDirectItems Auction
FromJapan’s auction page places a sniper bid in the last 5–10 minutes. Buyee’s navigation also includes a sniper. The FromJapan introduction lists the check service and optimal packaging as free. Handling stays ¥500 per distinct item.
DEJAPAN lists JDirectItems Auction on the same handling list as Mercari: ¥300 service plus ¥500 handling per Item URL, then the checkout transaction fee. ZenMarket’s auction line is ¥800 per bid item. Neokyo stays at ¥350 plus packing.
A FromJapan rank discount applies only if the account already holds it. Green is 3% over ¥40,000 of Charge 1 in the past year, Gold is 5% over ¥100,000, and Platinum or Black is 10% (Platinum over ¥400,000, Black over ¥5,000,000). Fuel surcharges and Japan Post Small Packet are excluded. On the Japan Post EMS 500 g zone 4 figure of ¥3,900, 10% is -¥390. That line stays an estimate until you paste FromJapan’s own shipping number.
Fleamarket, Rakuma, and shop URLs
DEJAPAN’s handling list is ¥500 per Item URL for Rakuma and JDirectItems Fleamarket as well, on top of the ¥300 service fee. A shop URL outside those markets, and outside auction, is the ¥300 service fee alone. One ¥29,800 shop URL is ¥30,100 before postage, payment, and the checkout percentage.
ZenMarket’s fee summary prices Recommended Stores at ¥300 and most other stores, including Amazon and Rakuten, at ¥500. Rakuma and JDirectItems Fleamarket are not given an amount on that page, so the calculator shows those two as “shown at checkout.” A ¥29,800 Rakuma listing is ¥29,800 before that unpublished fee, postage, and the deposit. Neokyo and FromJapan use the same published fee on Rakuma and Fleamarket as on Mercari.
Cross-market discovery
Buyee’s navigation lists JDirectItems Auction, Mercari, Rakuma, JDirectItems Fleamarket, Rakuten, and Amazon on one account, and the purchase fee stays ¥500 per order. Neokyo’s shopping tips name Mercari, Rakuma, JDirectItems Fleamarket, and JDirectItems Auction as separate shops. FromJapan accepts a product URL. DEJAPAN charges per Item URL, with free consolidation of up to 25 order numbers. A search hit is not proof the listing can be ordered.
Coupon-first
Use whichever proxy has a code you can actually apply to that listing. A large item-price coupon can matter more than a fee gap. Enter only a code from the official list. The VALUABLE CARD TOKYO code waives Buyee’s purchase fee on one payment of ¥30,000 or more at that shop. It does not discount the card. DEJAPAN’s coupon page is a claim-in-account list and publishes no code string. Neokyo’s fees page does not publish a standing code.
One ¥29,800 Mercari card, before postage and payment
Domestic shipping ¥0, import off, no coupon, no rank, photos off, extra storage days at 0, Neokyo packing at 1 kg. The item price is the 13 October 2026 CardRush example used on the calculator. ZenMarket’s card or PayPal deposit is another 3.5% of the charge, on top of the figure below. DEJAPAN’s transaction percentage is also outside the figure. Neokyo and FromJapan do not publish a card percentage.

Three distinct ¥15,000 items, one order, before postage and payment
Same settings, Mercari. Buyee stays at one order, so the purchase fee is still ¥500. Neokyo, FromJapan, ZenMarket, and DEJAPAN multiply by three items. Three Buyee orders on this basket are ¥46,500, because the ¥500 is then paid three times.
DEJAPAN and ZenMarket both land on ¥47,400 here for different reasons: DEJAPAN is ¥300 plus ¥500 handling on each URL, and ZenMarket is ¥800 per Mercari item. DEJAPAN’s checkout percentage and ZenMarket’s deposit fee are still outside both numbers.

Storage, packing, photos, and Mercari authentication
- Buyee free storage : 30 days free. Free for 30 days from arrival. After that the Japanese warehouse charges ¥100, ¥200, or ¥300 a day by weight, up to 10 kg, 20 kg, and above. The maximum stay is 90 days, then the package can be disposed.
- Neokyo free storage : 45 days free. 45 days per item, and 7 days for a parcel that is already packed. After that, weekly storage is Small ¥350 per order or ¥210 per parcel, Average ¥700 or ¥490, Large ¥1,400 or ¥980. Unpaid storage is limited to six weeks.
- ZenMarket free storage : 60 days free. 60 days free after arrival, then ¥50 per item per day. Items can be disposed at 90 days total without compensation. The daily fee continues until dispatch, including the days a parcel sits after it is created. Insurance for parcels under ¥5,000,000 is included in the service fee. Above that, special insurance has no published price.
- FromJapan storage The Japan introduction and the purchase-cost article do not state a free-storage length. The US distribution-center page says 45 days free, with disposal after that, and free combining inside that window. That 45-day figure is the US center, not a Japan-warehouse number, so it is not used as FromJapan’s Japan storage.
- DEJAPAN free storage : 60 days free. From 1 May 2026, 60 calendar days free after the order arrives. From day 61, ¥100 per order per day until the second payment, including the 2–3 business days packing can take.
- Buyee consolidation has been free since 21 December 2022. DEJAPAN consolidation combines up to 25 order numbers, and the older ¥100 per Item URL consolidation fee was removed from 1 October 2025. ZenMarket’s initial consolidation is free. Neokyo’s fees page includes consolidation in the shipment you pack. FromJapan’s introduction lists optimal packaging as free.
- Photos stay off until you request them. DEJAPAN is ¥300 per order, at least 5 photos, and different orders cannot share one request. ZenMarket is ¥500 per item for 3 photos.
- ZenMarket includes insurance for parcels under ¥5,000,000 in the service fee. Above that, special insurance has no published price. DEJAPAN says insurance on its international methods is included in the second-payment shipping cost.
- Buyee’s Mercari authentication guide describes Official Authentication for eligible items whose seller agreed, including trading cards, and a separate Buyee Authentication option. It also says some items still cannot be authenticated, and an order can be canceled when the item does not meet the check. If Buyee will not let you order a listing, try the same item on Neokyo, FromJapan, ZenMarket, or DEJAPAN. This page does not treat every Mercari authentication badge as blocked.
